Update on Page & Es**rt Applications ⬇️

We had a rush right at 12pm and we’re honestly so excited to see this much interest in being part of the Pancake Day fun! It says a lot about this group and how much fun (and chaos, in the best way) these roles bring every year.

With that being said, we do have a limited number of spots that physically fit on the stage. We truly wish we could take everyone, and we’re so sorry to those who aren’t able to participate this year.

Here’s where things currently stand:
• 3 es**rt spots available (must be a senior boy 2026-2027 school year attending school or residing in Appanoose County)
• 4 boy page spots available
• All girl page spots are filled (with 3 currently on the waitlist)

We’ll keep sharing updates as spots fill. As a reminder, spots are first come, first served and are only secured once we have your completed application + participation fee.

There are a million reasons to run for Miss Pancake Day...skills you’ll build, friendships you’ll make, memories you’ll keep forever, and the volunteer hours you’ll rack up along the way. But if you needed one more… let’s talk scholarships.

On top of the prize packs that our award winners receive, PACT awards $1,500 to the Queen, $750 to 1st Runner Up, and $250 to 2nd Runner Up. Not a bad bonus for putting yourself out there!

Don't forget, 2026 Miss Pancake Day applications are due THIS THURSDAY and can be picked up at the PACT office or found online at www.pactiowa.org/pancake-day-2026 . If you'd like to submit your application via email, just send it to Christina at [email protected]. The Miss Pancake Day pageant is open to any high school girl that lives or attends school in Appanoose County and will be a senior during the 2026-2027 school year.

Don't forget, 2026 Miss Pancake Day pageant applications are due Thursday by 4:30pm. We know it's sometimes hard to make it to the PACT office, so you can submit online to [email protected] or if you call the office at 641-437-4102, we can coordinate picking up your application from the school.

The Miss Pancake Day Pageant is one of our favorite traditions for a reason 👑

What we love about the pageant is what every single contestant walks away with: confidence, friendships, new skills, and memories they’ll carry long after the last pancake is flipped.

If you’ve ever thought about running (or know a local girl who should), this is your sign. Don’t just take it from us, hear it straight from last year’s contestants!

2026 Miss Pancake Day applications are due to the PACT office by no later than 4:30pm Thursday April 30th. Applications can be submitted electronically to [email protected].

A great reminder from the Pancake Day Queen Committee co-chair, Danielle, that applications for the Miss Pancake Day pageant are due in just 8 days! Don't miss out on the chance to make wonderful memories participating in this fun hometown tradition.

👑 Senior girls that either attend school or reside in Appanoose County are able to participate.
👑 Only Part 1 of the application needs to be completed by the 30th. There are additional due dates for the questionnaires and autobiographies.

Miss Pancake Day pageant application can be picked up in person at the PACT office or downloaded online: https://pactiowa.org/pancake-day-2026/

We shared this opportunity on the PACT- Promoting Appanoose & Centerville Together page yesterday, but wanted to make sure our Pancake Day fans with Appanoose County roots were aware of it too!

We’re excited to officially introduce our limited-edition America 250 Veteran Banner Program! Honoring the men and women who have served right here in Appanoose County, these banners will be displayed throughout downtown Centerville leading up to the 77th Annual Pancake Day (aptly themed "Life, Liberty & the Pursuit of Pancakes" this year!) through Veterans Day, then returned to families as a keepsake.

A couple of important notes before you jump in:
➡️ Form link: https://forms.gle/akvG1YTRJxzBGSF56
➡️ Spots are first come, first served and limited to 160 banners due to the number of downtown lampposts. Since announcing the program yesterday, we've already filled 51 spots!
➡️ Your spot is secured once payment is received
➡️ These are not limited to Veterans, those currently serving are welcome to be featured as well.

We can’t wait to honor our local veterans and fill downtown Centerville with stories of service as we get ready to celebrate America 250. 🇺🇸 Questions? Call PACT at 641-437-4102 or email [email protected]
