Resource Friday Spotlight: Angel Tree Deadline

A quick reminder for anyone planning to apply for the The Salvation Army Muskegon, MI Angel Tree program in Muskegon County: all applications and eligibility proofs are due October 31 through this site - https://www.saangeltree.org/

The program is open to:
• Families with children age 14 and younger
• Adults age 60 and older

Know someone who may benefit? Please share this information with them. Sometimes sharing a resource is one of the easiest ways we can help someone in our community.

A fresh look for AgeWell Services!

You may have noticed something new popping up lately, and now we’re excited to officially share our refreshed AgeWell Services logo with updated colors!

Our look may be evolving, but what matters most remains the same: our commitment to helping older adults stay nourished, active, learning and living independently.

Over the coming weeks and months, we’ll be gradually rolling out our refreshed brand across our materials, programs and spaces as we use up our old material. That means you may see a mix of our previous and new colors along the way. It’s all part of the transition!

New look. Same mission. Same commitment to our community.

The last week of October is bringing some favorites to the table.

🥩 Tuesday: Meatloaf & Gravy with mashed potatoes, peas, carrots, biscuit, and fruit
🍗 Wednesday: Chicken Wings with red skin potatoes, collard greens, cornbread muffin, and fruit
🫔 Thursday: Locally Made Tamale with Mexican rice, black beans, and broccoli

We're especially excited to feature a locally made tamale from Navarro's Mexican Take-Out on Thursday.

The holiday season is around the corner and the The Salvation Army Muskegon, MI Angel Tree program is accepting applications in Muskegon County.

Registration is open for:
• Families with children age 14 and younger
• Adults age 60 and older

AgeWell Services, including Discount Dine at the Driftwood Café, will be closed Thursday, October 22, for an all team member training day.

This time allows our team to come together to learn, grow and strengthen how we serve older adults throughout our community.

We appreciate your understanding and will resume normal operations on Friday, October 23.

We’re celebrating Muskegon Lumberjacks Throwback Weekend at The Brewer's Lounge At Pigeon Hill and Socibowl, with Saturday "throwback specials" and a whole weekend of support for AgeWell Services of West Michigan!

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 17 ONLY:
🍺 Brewer’s Lounge: Vanilla Caramel Walter Gets Buzzed + pizza rolls.
🍹 Socibowl: AHA Blast cocktail + Bosco sticks.

ALL WEEKEND, FRIDAY THROUGH SUNDAY:
Round up your tab at either location to support AgeWell and get a free sticker! Round-ups begin Friday, October 16 and continue through Sunday, October 18.

We’re glad to team up with AgeWell and help support their work in our community. An AgeWell representative will join us before Saturday’s game, so stop by to say hello and learn more about them!
