We are ready!! Starting at noon on Wednesday, June 10, the JCHS will have its Founders Exhibit open to the public. This exhibit will feature 32 male and female patriots. You can hear their stories in their own words and how their actions and words determined the future of the United States of America. In addition to this exhibit, we also have military uniforms and ephemera on display, a replica of the Betsy Ross flag and the story behind “did she really make it or not,” a part of our collection of military patches from World Wars I and II, a banner from the Murphysboro Chapter of the American War Mothers organization from World War I (the precursor to the Gold Star Mothers), and a actual Gold Star banner which hung in a Jackson County home. During this time, we will extend our Wednesday and Friday hours to include Thursday evenings from 5-8 and Saturdays from 10-3.

Come by and check us out! We look forward to seeing you.
