Lost Dogs Run, Animal Rescue Helping unwanted animals through community effort, while sharing the common goals of working towards their well being and securing them a safe place.

Our rescue was formed as a shelter alternative and requires community involvement with the focus being for and about helping animals. Compassionate people are needed to foster animals they find or want to help until permanent homes can be found. Ideally, in the foster environment, the dog will be humanely housed within a fenced yard and in a house, socialized with other animals and people, and h

ouse-trained. The fostering process eases the subsequent transition of the animal into permanent homes. LDR depends upon individuals who find unwanted animals to foster them while we help find homes and help with necessities and costs within our financial means. Individuals fostering unwanted animals can deduct their costs for animals from their income, through maintaining cash receipts and careful record-keeping, allowing LDR to verify the expenses for the fostered animal. Animals will be advertised on the national rescue animal sites such as Pet Finder and Adopt A Pet. It is our responsibility as humans to help the unwanted, as they are at our mercy, as it is us, our species who brought them to the predicament that the many unwanted are in right now. And it will take 'us' to improve their lives working together on their behalf. Let's all pull together and change the direction of many lives. We can accomplish this as a team with the common and focused goal of "Being for the Animals".
