Cherokee County Arts Council

Cherokee County Arts Council The Cherokee County Arts Council supports local artists through education, resources, and community.

We're building a creative, connected Cherokee County - one partnership, exhibit, and performance at a time. The Cherokee County Arts Council provides a forum in which county and Western North Carolina residents, artists, tourists and anyone interested in the arts in our area can find events, studios or galleries, other arts organizations and can participate actively in our vibrant community. CCAC

works with other organizations to provide free and low cost music, festivals, public beautification, other events and increased access to the arts within the public schools.

There's a little something going on at the Center Gallery right now!

A big thank you to Rachel Watson, our Executive Director, and the crew of volunteers helping her get it done. They have been ripping stuff down and doing it fast- and generally making the whole space better!

It's a good thing they're so quick because the June opening reception is Friday, June 5th at 5:30 p.m. - we'll be exhibiting work by Kyle Cottier, a Knoxville sculptor whose pieces are built from thousands of small wooden parts, woven together into larger forms. It's the kind of work you want to walk around and look at from a few angles.

Thanks to Graciela Laurent Photography for sponsoring the June exhibit. Come check out the new space and meet Kyle!
