Rutherford County Cat Rescue 🐾 100% foster- and volunteer-based cat rescue dedicated to Rescue • Adoption • TNR. (No salary or compensation taken by the volunteers.)

Helping cats and kittens in our community. ❤️ Find adoptable cats, foster info, applications, and ways to support us via our Linktree ⬇️ Our mission is to encourage spay & neuter, community awareness, education, and understanding of community cats through proven practices such as TNR and trapping young kittens in order to socialize them so they become beloved family members. We facilitate positive relationships between people and animals, whether they are pets or community animals. Educating our neighbors is essential for implementation of non-lethal ways of dealing with community cats. Without generous community support, we couldn't help as many kitties as we do. We are a Non-Profit 501(c)3
Donations can be mailed to RCCR,
PO Box 11824, Murfreesboro, TN 37129

100% of your tax-deductible donations goes towards spay/neuter, vaccinations, providing emergency vetting for strays, foster care and helping those in our community on a fixed income. Until a few years ago, the accepted method of dealing with these cats had been extermination. Thankfully, this practice has been found to be ineffective. Much more effective and far less lethal, is the TNR program. This program allows the trapping and neutering of feral cats, after which they are released to their home area. This reduces population as well as diseases. We try to assist in this.

*****If you are trying to rehome your pet or stray cat, we invite you to post photos, personality description, & your contact info here on Rutherford County Cat Rescue. We are foster based and don't have a facility where your pet cat can stay, as we are just a few volunteers that run RCCR. At this time, our focus is on stray and feral cats needing to be spayed and neutered, and helping raise vetting funds for the injured. Please also reach out to your friends and families for help!

‼️ URGENT — HELP US FILL THEIR BOWLS! OUR SHELVES ARE BARE

In honor of National Feral Cat Day on October 16, we’re asking our community to help us care for the cats who may never have a traditional home—but still depend on us every single day. 🐈‍⬛❤️

RCCR feeds 6 community cat colonies 365 days a year, and we also provide cat food to members of our community whenever our supplies allow, to ensure pets stay fed with their families when funds are tight for them 💝

Right now, we NEED FOOD. Wet food, dry food —all of it helps us keep hungry bellies full.

THURSDAY’S HEART OF RESCUE

✨ Some heroes make a difference without ever seeking the spotlight. Meet Andrea! ✨

A few years ago, Andrea opened her heart and home to RCCR, and countless little lives have been better because of her. ❤️

Warm, patient, kind, and endlessly loving, Andrea is always willing to take on a kitty in need, no matter the circumstances. Whether it’s a momma and her babies or a kitty needing a little extra TLC, Andrea provides a soft place to land and all the love they need until their forever families come along. 🐱💕

You’ll often find her at our adoption events, quietly working her magic with both kitties and potential adopters. She has a gentle presence and a quiet grace that make everyone around her feel at ease.

And yes, she’s even been known to “foster succeed” a time or two! 🥹❤️ Because sometimes goodbye turns into forever!

Andrea, from the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU! Thank you for the patience, compassion, time, and love you pour into every little life entrusted to you.

Fosters are truly the heartbeat of rescue. Without people like Andrea opening their homes and hearts, we simply couldn’t save the lives we do.

🐾 Please help us show Andrea some love in the comments! She deserves every bit of it! ❤️

🚨 URGENT PLEA. 🐾💔

UPDATE!! Finally we think both Troll and Flossy are coming home today!! Yahooo after 3 days hospitalized we are so thankful for the help of our vet partners Animal Medical Center for taking such good care of our babies.

Thursday Update : Both kittens have stabilized- however Flossy’s fever 🤒 can’t seem to get below 103, so she needs to remain another night

Troll- Improving, but around 2am his temperature and Blood sugar both dropped so he’s not able to be removed from his IVF as well- so at least one more night for these sweethearts- please keep them in your thoughts and thank you for donating- we appreciate all your support and definitely will need it 🙏

Update- THANK you! To everyone who has taken a moment to share or donate to help us provide care for this little ones. They both have done well today- Flossy still has a fever but we have had more positives than a negatives and Troll Gremlin has been able to stabilize his temperature to 98 degrees ( big win from 94) and they both are eating on their own- we will take that update all day 🙌 keep sending your good vibes and prayers and if you can donate we graciously thank you- even a share is so helpful. 💝

Flossy and Troll Gremlin are fighting for their lives, and we desperately need your help.

As TNR efforts ramp up and kitten season seemingly NEVER ends, we have faced several heartbreaking emergency cases over the past month.

Right now, TWO fragile lives are hospitalized at Animal Medical Center.

💔 FLOSSY is battling a dangerously high fever (105) of unknown origin and severe illness, requiring intensive medical care and support.

💔 TROLL GREMLIN, weighing a heartbreaking 0.59 pounds, is fighting just to survive. His tiny body cannot maintain its own temperature, and he requires around-the-clock care and IV fluids.

Meanwhile, our rescue continues providing spay/neuter assistance, TNR services, food for community cats, and medical care for the many foster kitties already depending on us. 😭

We are stretched thin, but these babies deserve every chance we can give them. ❤️

We cannot turn our backs on a fragile life simply because our resources are running low.

🙏 WE NEED OUR COMMUNITY TO RALLY BEHIND FLOSSY AND TROLL!

Every $5, $10, or $20 donation helps us continue their lifesaving care. No amount is too small.
