As I sip my ‘cup of joe’ ☕️, I’m creating my first post for 2026 with my “One Word” in mind, while reflecting on our time serving our commUNITY yesterday.

Geezy rolled his ankle in the game on Saturday, and with spring semester not back in session as of yet, he was able to come back home to rehab for a few days.

I figured, since you are here, and we can’t get in the gym to get up shots, come do a ride along with your Pops and let’s pour back into our commUNITY together!!!

Through my time investment as a “Character Coach” with Southeast Middle Tennessee - Fellowship of Christian Athletes, our first stop was Whitworth Buchanan Middle School Boys Basketball 🏀 to ”fill up a few cups” with knowledge and gospel for the next generation!

FCA has been a positive force for countless young athletes over the past 70+ years, and I am grateful to be part of this Team!

One might ask… “What’s a Character Coach?”
Simply put…

”That person I needed in my life Growing Up!”

These young men were very attentive to what we had to share. To see their growth over the past two years has been rewarding. Geezy, you did a great job controlling the locker room. Proud of you, Son! 🙏🏼

As I sip my ‘cup of Joe’ ☕️, I am reminded it is “Given Tuesday” and what better day to GIVE you the WHY???

I shared the first part of this 4EO journey on Spread The Positive 💯 with Trent Denson and in my presentation at BNI. As I was reliving the moment when my whole world changed, so many old emotions began to stir inside of me. 😢

As a 9 year old from the housing projects, who had just lost my mother to a fatal illness, had only seen my father twice in those 9 years, and having to leave the only home I ever knew and move in with him, as a perfect stranger, in a foreign town, was the most difficult thing I had ever experienced. I felt extremely broken. I couldn’t understand why this was happening to me and my sister Desiree Eady Vannatta. 😢

Unbeknownst to me, it was through this early childhood trauma that God was beginning to work on ME from the inside out, molding me like clay! 🙏🏼 What I experienced emotionally as a child, through the grace and mercy of Christ, is the reason I am the person I am today.

My WHY:

Although I am, what is considerd to be “Lived Experience”, it is not about me, yet I know what’s truly needed to assist in breaking the cycle…The 4EO Community Center!!!

It’s “Given Tuesday” and we all know, God loves a Cheerful Giver! Through your generosity and support, we have made remarkable progress the past year, and our foot is heavily on the gas!⛽️

Endure has the incredible privilege of serving the homeless children and youth who live right here in our community.

The children & youth that we serve stay in local homeless shelters, run-down rent-by-week motels, and, at times, their cars.

Come out and support the youth that need us the most!
