Flashback Friday!!
Irreverent Warriors Nashville Hike 2019.

7 months to plan with Jarod Couch, talks with the mayor, my volunteer coordinator having a panic attack before step off, pre hike party, prehike brief, 11 miles in August heat (sorry), lunch, post hike brief, post hike party at RedneckRiviera Nashville , and every other tiny detail (that I did not mention above).

Amazing hike, Amazing people!!

Just had lunch with Col Ken Hopper, Board Member of the Tun Tavern Legacy Foundation . I have just been installed as the Tun Tavern Militia Commander for Murfreesboro, TN!! I have made a pledge, I am putting on a fundraising event (Oct 13th Tun Tavern Legacy Project Fundraiser and Navy Birthday ), and I need Marines, Sailors, and Freemasons to go on the website, https://thetun.org/ and donate $10 to OUR cause.

The Tun Tavern Legacy Foundation (501c3) is going to rebuild an exact replica of the tavern and then add on a bigger restaurant/event space behind it. I am the Murfreesboro liason to the Board of Directors, and they just purchased a site in the Old City section of Philly (on 2nd St). Architects/engineers have been engaged, zoning applications submitted, and fundraising has started. The site is approximately 250 yards from the original location, and the goal is to have it built by the 250th Marine Corps birthday and Navy Homecoming celebration in November 2025 (timeline will be tight).

All profits from operations of The Tun™ will be donated perpetually to support veteran causes, Masonic charities, educational scholarships, and qualified charities as determined by The Tun Tavern Legacy Foundation’s Board of Governors.

Congratulations to our adopted Raiders who showed up all weekend and represented!! What an end to an amazing season! We at VFW 12206 are so proud of you all! Here are the scores.. This is the best the district has ever done in Rutherford County. Girls 4th place and boys 9th place.

Thank you to all who helped support this awesome team this season - from the help with feeding them to showing up each and every comp to cheer them on. We could not have done this without you!
