Had the pleasure of speaking on a panel for this year’s Emerging Leaders Academy at Oakland Middle school. I was a mentor last year as well. MTSU College of Education and my church First Baptist Church of Murfreesboro TN have put together an amazing program. I’m representing my church and our nonprofit organization but I’m here to motivate and help these young brothers RISE and Live Their Truth! Proud of these young boys. 2024 will be life changing 💯

Today is Giving Tuesday! We are so proud of what we've accomplished the past two years, in 2024 we are planning some of our biggest programs yet, including a mental health roundtable for men, a basketball tournament, community block party, voter education and more.

Last night, the RISE Coalition was recognized by the Murfreesboro Chapter of the NAACP as the 2023 Freedom Fund Organization of the Year! Thank you so much for this honor. We are proud of the work we've done in the past two years. We look forward to continuing to serve the wonderful people of Rutherford County!

The R.I.S.E Coalition has partnered with the MTSU Jones College of Business to conduct a speaker series on professionalism and leadership! Shout out to RISE members Danielle McGee and Janelle Douglas for sharing with students this week! Almost every RISEr will be participating. Thank you MTSU!

Here's just a glimpse of our inaugural First-Aid for Mental Health Youth Wellness Expo. The community and compassion that was present on last Saturday was truly awe -inspiring. Thank you to all of our partners and sponsors who helped to make this event happen! We learned so much, shared so much and most importantly, we were intentional about gaining knowledge to better support our youth and each other. We can't wait to see how this event grows!
