Meet Marley! Marley is a 13 yr old Shih-Tzu that came into our hospice program on Tuesday from the shelter. He had a deep hole with a huge pocket on the side of his face, almost the worst conjunctivitis (next to Miles) and a huge mass in his ear. He went straight to the vet and it was determined he needed a massive surgery to repair and put a drain in the hole, remove his eyes, and have an ear ablation. We decided with our vet that this was too big of a surgery and may not improve his QOL. We made the decision to have a going away party for him and he fell asleep peacefully. Here are the fun times he got to have while he was here with us. He loved dill pickle potato chips, had a “filet” dinner with cheese, bacon bits, and apple bites. Today he got to have French fries and snarfed down his cheeseburger. Thank you Dr. Ellis and the whole staff at Plaza Animal Hospital for all your kindness to Marley.
