Texas Wolfdog Project and Shelter Inc. is an all volunteer and donation based rescue/adoption facility dedicated to saving as many adoptable wolfdogs and northern breed dogs in the State of Texas as humanly possible. This will be based off of available foster homes, suitable adoptive homes and of course, financial resources for veterinary care, transportation and basic care of the residents of Texas Wolfdog Project. Please let it be known that we are not a sanctuary and aim to take in animals that are socialized and adoptable. We support responsible ownership and public education, as well as promoting education for other rescue groups, shelters and Animal Control facilities concerning proper wolfdog identification, evaluation and care. Congratulations, Yuki! 🥂

Our lucky girl has found her forever home alongside Shadow, another former resident of TWP. We love our repeat adopters! Because of the people who open their hearts and their homes to our pups, we can save even more lives. Yuki herself came from a municipal shelter where she was at risk of euthanasia, and we are overjoyed that her story will now have a happy ending. 💙

🎉🎉Congratulations, Bane!🎉🎉

Our very best boy has been adopted by one of our committed volunteers and is now living his best life as a beloved member of his new family. We're so happy for you, Bane!

Creating this type of outcome for dogs who have experienced abuse and neglect, or who have found themselves in environments that aren't the right match for their needs and personality, is the heart of our mission.

Please join us in welcoming our newest addition, Sunny!

Sunny, AKA Sunshine, is an eight-month-old mid-content girl whose name perfectly matches her sweet, cuddly personality. The result of an accidental litter, she was fostered by our friends at Wolf Tracks of Texas before coming to TWP to look for her forever family. Until that happens, you'll be able to find her playing with her new friend, Fallon, on one of our tours. 🌻☀🌻

We are saddened to report that one of our senior pups and longest-term residents, Shiloh, has crossed the Rainbow Bridge.

Shiloh spent the last few years as a beloved family member of one of our foster families, and we are forever grateful that they provided such a good home for his golden years. His fosters wanted to share this remembrance of Shiloh:

"Shiloh was family. A loyal companion, a beautiful soul, and a piece of our hearts that can never be replaced. There are never enough years with the animals we love. They come into our lives, leave paw prints across our hearts, and somehow make us better simply by loving us. Our home will feel different without you, but we will carry you with us always. Run free, sweet Shiloh."

The first is that our littlest intake, Ren, has been growing like a w**d! If you want some puppy time with Ren, be sure to book a tour with us soon before she's all grown up: https://square.site/book/X7SQ4YGH08P47/texas-wolfdog-project-shelter-montgomery-tx
