Support Team workday 10/17 - -8 has been undergoing a series of repairs and upgrades and is in the home stretch. Today's project was to add insulation to the side walls of the trailer. This involved removing the lower trim and treadplate, a couple of lights, two doors, and a ton of screws. Shout-out to Divine Tactics Mission for knocking this task out of the park!

We had enough help to scrub down the bottom to remove the old, faded DOT tape and install new tape all the way around the trailer.

Support Team Workday 10/17/26 - -1, which returned from a 3-year deployment to Conroe, TX, with some serious water damage, received a bunch of demo work. The back two shower rooms (not just stalls) were removed to give us access to the damaged subfloor. We still have a little bit more to open up to make sure we get all the damaged wood out, but only an hour's worth of work instead of a full day.

The rebuild will involve rebuilding the interior with as much composite material as possible and working to remove ALL fibrous (wood) material as we can.

Support Team workday 10/17 - -2, which returned from North Carolina with 'just a little water damage', has been stripped down to good materials and is ready for rebuild as funding permits. The plan is to replace the single ADA stall with two 36" x 36" showers. We'll remove the onboard water tank for operations and add two stacked laundry units.

We'll also be rebuilding with composite materials, as much as possible, to help mitigate future damage.

We'll continue to monitor Hurricane Isaias. Have a plan, be prepared, stay safe.

Latest Thursday AM look at Hurricane Isaias. Still strengthening. Expected to peak at 110mph. A little weakening before landfall. NHC overnight track similar to prior. Matching tracks of the Google DeepMind and HCCA. EURO inching closer to these. Expanding wind field expected towards landfall spreading impacts more inland and to the east. Around 12:15 this afternoon, the last of the volunteers, staff, and equipment returned to Missions Ranch after nearly two years in Western North Carolina.

A huge "Thank You" to Lisa, Brian, Aiden, Holley, Jonathan, and Robert for helping Mitchell and me with demobilization!

The yard is full, with one exception, and the rest of this week will be spent cleaning, repairing, and prepping for whatever comes next... Maybe even later this week in Texas.

The week ahead, 9/21 - 9/27:
This week will officially wrap up recovery operations in , . By Sunday, -6 and -7 should be back at Missions Ranch. This will be the first time since 2022 that our yard will be full with only one shower trailer deployed.

We will continue to work on ST-8 to have it finished and deployable by mid-October.

Lastly, we'll put together a repair estimate for ST-1 so we can begin seeking the funding needed to repair both ST-1 & ST-2.
