🧸 More than a quilt. More than a stitch.

Thank you to Country Fellowship Quilting Ministry for the beautiful gift of handmade “teddy bear” quilts and prayer quilts for the siblings who have lost a sibling.

Each quilt is handmade with love and prayer and thoughtfully paired with a stuffed animal that matches the quilt’s theme — creating something special for a child to hold onto while they navigate the loss of their brother or sister.

For a child carrying big grief in a little heart, these gifts are more than a quilt and a stuffed animal. They are a tangible reminder that they are seen, remembered, loved, and covered in prayer.

Thread by thread.

💕 GOD’S LOVE GOES FARTHER THAN WE CAN SEE 💕

This month, 32 families in 21 cities across 4 states will receive something that may look like a simple birthday card - but it carries a much deeper message of love, remembrance, and hope.

Over 1,000 handmade cards have now been lovingly created through this ministry by a loss mom honoring the memory of her son, Bob, alongside a volunteer who has a beautiful gift for encouragement through handwritten letters and a deep love for the art of snail mail. ✉️

These cards are more than just cards.

They celebrate a child whose life mattered.
A reminder that their story is still being told.
A gentle acknowledgement of the birthday families will forever remember.
And a tangible reminder that their precious child is never forgotten.

We believe these children were known by God before the creation of the earth, created in His image, and deeply loved. Their lives may have been shorter than we hoped, but the love they brought into this world is eternal.

Each card celebrates the birth and joy of a life that was given, while reminding grieving families that their child is remembered and they do not have to walk alone. 🤍

From Texas to California to Virginia, these little pieces of handmade love are traveling through the mail—different cities, different states, but connected by His heart.

Because sometimes a handwritten card says what words alone cannot:

“Your child mattered.
Your child is remembered.
Your child is loved.
And so are you.”

Your generosity is so much more than a donation. It is a reminder to grieving families that they are not alone, not forgotten, and still surrounded by people who care.

At First Touch Family, we often say that we can't do this ministry alone. Our ministry partners and donors are the hands and feet of Jesus alongside us. Your giving helps us walk with families after the casseroles go cold and the house gets quiet - providing tangible, financial, and emotional support when they need it most.

Sometimes the Lord brings people into our ministry who have never experienced the loss of a child themselves, but they have a heart for the hurting and a desire to share the hope we have in Jesus with others who are walking through unimaginable loss.

Caitlyn is using the gift God has given her to serve grieving families, one bracelet at a time.

We believe what Scripture teaches us — we are one body, but we each have different gifts. And when we use those gifts together, God can use them to bring hope, comfort, and love to others.
