Today was one of those days that reminds me why this mission works.

Our volunteers showed up ready to work, and work they did. Boxes were lifted, shelves donations were sorted, supplies were organized, and a warehouse slowly started becoming a home base for compassion in action.

It wasn’t glamorous. It was hot. It was dusty. It was physically exhausting.

But every shelf stocked, every bin labeled, and every box moved means we’re better prepared to serve our homeless friends with dignity and love.

To every person who gave up their Saturday, thank you. You didn’t just organize a warehouse. You helped build the foundation that allows Matthew’s Light to continue showing up month after month for those who need us most.

We are incredibly blessed by each of you.

Tomorrow is your chance to make a real difference.

Every month, hundreds of our homeless neighbors come to Matthew’s Light looking for the basics most of us take for granted: clean clothes, socks, hygiene supplies, blankets, backpacks, and simple necessities that restore dignity and hope.

Right now, our warehouse shelves need help.

If you’ve been meaning to clean out a closet, replace that suitcase collecting dust, or pick up a few extra hygiene items during your next store run, tomorrow is the perfect day to do it.

We’ll be accepting donations from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Matthew’s Light Warehouse in Magnolia. Every item donated goes directly into the hands of someone who needs it.

We can’t do this work without a community that cares, and we’re grateful for every person who helps us shine a little light into someone’s darkest season.

🚨 LADIES, THIS IS YOUR OFFICIAL NOTICE… 🚨

Next Saturday, Matthew’s Light is accepting donations, and we know exactly where some of them are hiding.

You know the shirt he wears that’s just a little too tight now.

The shorts he has that are putting way too much faith in that button and thread.

The jeans he’s keeping for when he “gets back in shape.”

The extra shoes he never wears.

The backpack collecting dust in the garage.

The jacket that’s been hanging in the closet so long it’s basically part of the house.

You know the ones. 😏

Seriously though, we need your help.

Every month, Matthew’s Light serves hundreds of men and women experiencing homelessness across Greater Houston and we are in desperate need of men’s summer clothes. Many are living with only what they can carry. A clean shirt, a pair of shoes, a backpack, a blanket, or basic hygiene supplies can mean comfort, dignity, and hope.

If you have items in good condition that are no longer being used, please consider donating them.

Community Donation Drop Off Day!

Most people don’t realize how quickly basic necessities disappear when you’re living on the streets.

Shoes wear out fast walking mile after mile on concrete. Backpacks rip. Blankets get soaked in the rain. Hygiene items run out. A wheelchair, walker, or even reading glasses can completely change someone’s quality of life.

On June 6th, Matthew’s Light is hosting a Community Donation Drop-Off Day as we move into and organize our new warehouse space. This warehouse will help us better serve hundreds of homeless neighbors across Greater Houston every month.

We’re especially in need of:
• Men’s clothes, especially shorts
• Men’s shoes
• New socks & underwear
• Backpacks & suitcases
• Baby wipes & hygiene items
• Pillows, blankets & tents
• Walkers, canes & wheelchairs
