If you've ever struggled with the words spoken to you, 'it's all in your head', while you knew something was really wrong, this is for you.

We made these for the person who spent years being doubted. Read through, and take whatever you needed to hear.
You're not the only one. This community is full of people who were dismissed before they were believed, and who found each other on the other side of it. People that found help, health, and hope. Now, they are here to support others walking a similar road.

You don't have to keep carrying it alone.

If someone's face came to mind while you read this, please share it with them. They are not alone.

We believe home should never be the thing that makes you sick. And when it is, families deserve real answers and real accountability.

This October in Austin, that belief gets three days of its own.

The Safe Housing Collaborative brings together attorneys, doctors, building scientists, and advocates from across the country to work toward better outcomes for families affected by mold and unsafe housing. This isn't a sit-and-listen conference. It's workshops, roundtables, and the people actually changing how these cases are fought, sharing what works.

You'll learn from voices like keynote speaker Dr. Jill Crista, indoor air expert Michael Rubino, and Just Well Law founder Kristina Baehr, alongside physicians, environmental experts, and building professionals who live in this work every day.

Registration is required, and space is limited to the people it's built for. Attorneys, there's also a Toxic Housing 101 workshop with CLE credit on the 10th.

October 10 to 12, 2026. Austin, Texas. The same weekend as our Hope Warrior Gala, and part of one bigger stand: every family deserves a safe, healthy home.

Register at the link in the comments. It's ACL weekend in Austin, so book your stay early.

Tonight: Peer to Peer Emotional Support Group: Through Mold Illness and Recovery

Thursday, August 27, 2026
7:00 PM 8:30 PM

Mold illness can be isolating in a way that's hard to explain to someone who hasn't experienced its impact. Maybe your house looks fine. Maybe your labs came back normal. Maybe you've been told it's anxiety, or stress, or that it's in your head. But…you know it isn't.

You are not alone. There are people across this country who understand what you are going through because they, too, have been impacted. Malachi’s Message Foundation hosts this Peer to Peer emotional support group twice a month

Joining this group, or even just one call, is free. The Peer to Peer Emotional Support group meets the the second Tuesday and fourth Thursday of every month at 7:00 PM Central. Come to listen or come to share. Come to learn or come to ask. We'd love to meet you, so come as you are.

This month's facilitator: Barbara Sparks

Zoom Link: in comments below

Barbara is the founder of Health Coaching With Barbie and a Certified Functional Nutrition Counselor. She spent years in and out of doctors' offices with her family, getting no real answers, while working as a radiology and mammography tech. A friend introduced her to functional medicine, and what she learned changed the direction of her family's health and eventually her career. She now works on how the body's systems fit together and what supports healing.

Mold is a hard thing to explain to a grown-up. It's even harder to explain to a kid.

So, we like to introduce Benny the Bunny. He's here to help children understand mold in a way that's gentle, simple, and never scary, just a friendly burrow buddy teaching them what to look for and reminding them not to worry.

Benny goes along with three free printable guides we made for kids, and you can download all of them at no cost:

The Home Detective Book, twelve looking-only "hunts" through a home, so a child can be a detective without ever touching anything a grown-up should handle.

My Monthly Symptoms and Feelings Tracker, a simple way for a kid to keep a record of how they feel, in numbers or faces or color, that you can bring to appointments.

My Feelings and Safety Worksheets, gentle pages for naming big feelings, understanding when the body's alarm goes off, and remembering the grown-ups they can turn to.

These are pages to color, fill in, and talk over together. They don't diagnose or treat anything, and they aren't a substitute for a doctor. They're just a kinder way to help a child understand what their family is walking through.

All three are free. Link in Bio under Mold Support & Resources

If you've recovered from mold, or you're still in it, then you know all too well that it's never just physical. The hardest parts are often the ones no one sees. The survival mode. The strained relationships. The stranger you sometimes feel like to yourself.

Starting Wednesday, September 9th, we're opening a new closed support group: From Survival to Safety, Navigating Life While Chronically Ill from Mold. Ten weeks, free, on Zoom.

Over ten weeks, the group works through what mold recovery actually asks of you. Finding safety in your own body again. Untangling the relationships and boundaries that got heavy. Facing the grief and the isolation. And slowly rebuilding self-trust and stable ground to stand on.

Your facilitator is Stacey Smith, a licensed mental health provider and mold-literate naturopathic practitioner with more than twenty years supporting people through recovery. She understands how deeply mold can affect mental and emotional health, and she brings both clinical training and a compassionate, whole-person approach to the group.

This is a small, closed group and space is limited, so it won't stay open long. If it's for you, don't wait.

When: Wednesdays, September 9th through November 18th, 5:30 to 7:00 pm CST
Where: Zoom
Sign up: link in the comments. A short application will need to be completed, as space is limited.

This group offers support and community. It is not a substitute for individual medical or mental health care.

*One Cup of Water. One Month. And a Family Forced From Their Home.*

In this powerful episode of the **Toxic Mold Sucks Podcast**, I sit down with author Carol Millberger, whose family lost their home and nearly everything they owned after a toxic mold nightmare that began 24 years ago.

Before mold, Carol describes their life as almost perfect—three children, two successful careers, a beautiful home on three acres outside Houston, and a life they loved.

Then came a massive rainstorm.

Their home didn't flood. They found only about *one cup of water* on their bathroom floor. They cleaned it up and thought they were safe.

They weren't.

Within days, something smelled wrong. Mold was discovered hidden behind the shower wall. Within weeks, Carol and her husband began experiencing frightening cognitive symptoms. Testing revealed multiple types of mold contamination, and the family was told to **evacuate immediately**.

They thought remediation would have them home by Thanksgiving.

Instead, after multiple attempts to save their home, they eventually lost the house and their possessions.

Carol's story is especially important because she says there was *very little visible mold* inside their home—something she wants other families to understand.

But this story also carries hope. *Twenty-four years later, Carol and her family are on the other side of it.*

Join us as Carol shares what she wishes she had known, what her family learned the hard way, and how they ultimately rebuilt their lives after mold.

🎙️ *Watch Carol's full interview on the Toxic Mold Sucks Podcast, presented by Malachi's Message Foundation.*

Her story may help another family recognize the warning signs sooner—and remind someone struggling today that there can be life after losing so much. 💛

Take a look back at one of the most meaningful nights we share all year. This is the 2025 Hope Warrior Gala, and it's a picture of what happens when this community refuses to face mold alone.

Every table, every bid, every seat in that room becomes something real for a family in crisis. Toys for children who have lost it all. A mattress to stop sleeping on the floor. A place to turn for support when it feels like there's nowhere else.

We would love for you to be in the room this year. The 2026 Hope Warrior Gala, A Rising Tide Raises All Ships, is October 10 at the Four Seasons Hotel Austin.

Sponsor a table. Donate to the auction. Purchase your tickets. Join us in turning one night into hope for families who need it most.

If you have spent years fighting a builder, a landlord, or a doctor who wouldn't listen, you know how lonely that fight can feel.

Today, broadcast across the whole country, millions were given a glimpse into a story so many of us have been living. The Wall Street Journal reported that homeowners across the US are taking major home builders to court, saying construction defects like improperly installed HVAC systems, badly fitted windows, and poorly vented attics let moisture and mold into their homes. The numbers are staggering. One builder's legal reserves have climbed past a billion dollars. Another set aside hundreds of millions more.

Though the story doesn't hand us a clean win, we consider it a victory that these avoidable situations are gaining the attention of others. Builders push back hard, and it gives plenty of room to the people who still doubt what families like ours have lived. We know that all too well. BUT families fighting this in courtrooms, on a paper like this, is something we have waited a long time to see.

The fight isn't over. But you were never in it alone, and you still aren't. That is what we are here for.

Homeowner lawsuits against home builders allege mold-related illnesses, while builders say the allegations are off the mark and costing them millions.
