Last week, the Youth on Course 100 Hole Hike at Golden Gate Park Golf Course brought our community together for a day of golf with a greater purpose. ⛳️

Thanks to the generosity of our Hikers and supporters, over $185,000 was raised, making over 26,000 Youth on Course rounds possible for young golfers. The day also came with some incredible highlights! Congratulations to Will Kelly on carding two holes-in-one and to Don Delco on his ace. What a day on the course!

Across the Bay Area, 24,000 members have access to 68 partner golf courses where they can play for $5 or less per round. Every dollar raised helps make those opportunities possible, giving more young people the chance to get outside, build confidence, and discover what the game can offer.

To everyone who walked the course, donated, and cheered on this effort, thank you for investing in the next generation. Your support is helping open doors for young golfers across our community.

1,000,000 rounds played by members this summer.

The fastest we’ve ever reached this milestone in a single year. And it happened at Hyland Greens Golf Course in Bloomington, Minnesota, a Youth on Course course partner since 2021. ⛳️

This October, we’re celebrating the Golf Association partners who help make milestones like this possible, starting with the Minnesota Golf Association. Youth on Course expanded to Minnesota in 2017, and since then, members across the state have played 271K+ rounds through Youth on Course.

We’re grateful to the Minnesota Golf Association and all of our course partners who continue to open their doors to our members and community.

Last month, Youth on Course joined Private School Village for its 7th Annual Back-to-School Picnic & Community Fair at the Rose Bowl, bringing together more than 2,500 Black and Brown K–12 families from across Southern California.

Alongside SCGA Junior and Dryvebox we were excited to introduce families to Youth on Course and give kids the opportunity to pick up a club, take their first swing and experience golf.

This event marked the beginning of our partnership with PSV, and we’re looking forward to creating even more opportunities for students and families to connect through the game. We’re grateful to be part of a community that continues to create new opportunities for young people to learn, connect and try something new.

What do you do when you want to see more girls play golf? You bring it to where they are.

Youth on Course hosted its first Maybe Golf event, a day full of first swings with Dryvebox, community, gifts from SEPHORA and lululemon, and plenty of smiles and laughs along the way.

Maybe you’ve never picked up a club, but golf can be your sport, too. And that’s where we want to start.

Thank you to the 100+ girls who showed up, picked up a club and gave golf a try, and to everyone who helped make this day possible.

100 starts for this moment.

On Sunday, Austin earned his first PGA Tour victory at the Bank of Utah Championship in his 100th career start. Long before that milestone, he was a Youth on Course member, playing hundreds of rounds through affordable access and developing the skills. In 2012, he became a Youth on Course Scholar, and that would eventually take him to college golf and the professional level.

“Reaching the Tour... all comes down to time with a golf club in your hands. For me... that wouldn't have been possible without Youth on Course.” — Austin Smotherman

Congratulations, Austin! 🏆

There’s something special about a course built for the next generation. ⛳️

Since 2024, Old Barnwell has been a Youth on Course course partner, helping create more opportunities for young golfers and families to experience the game together. Located in Aiken, South Carolina, Old Barnwell is home to a 15-hole Kids’ Course designed to give children and families a place to learn, play, and enjoy golf together.

We’re grateful to Old Barnwell and all of our course partners who open their doors to our members and help make golf more welcoming and accessible for the next generation.
