New business opening up in Downtown Monterey! Gelato Pazzo Italian Cafe has a grand opening this Friday, October 16. As you might guess from the name, they'll be serving gelato, but it's also a restaurant... they take reservations and they'll be open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Alvarado Street Brewery and Grill teams up with the Monterey Firefighters Community Foundation with their draft release party for the return of Rescue Hoperations on Thursday, October 15. This special 6.6% Red IPA will be on tap and 15% of proceeds will go toward firefighter-led community programs.

Thursday, Oct 15 from 4pm-7pm, in the Alvarado Street Brewery Monterey B**r Garden.

In celebration of what would have been the 150th birthday of illustrator Jo Mora, the Monterey History and Art Museum at Stanton Center will host an exhibition of photographs of Jo Mora and his family taken 1920-1947 by noted local photographer Lewis Josselyn. The exhibit will run October through December, 2026.
