Good Success Academies Good Success Academies is a not-for-profit organization that helps youth succeed in school, work, and life.

The Problem:
The statistics concerning the disparity in academic achievement and income between minority students and their Caucasian counterparts are disturbing. The National Association Education Progress reports that Black and Hispanic students above the 8th grade score 27 points below their Caucasian counterparts. The Schott Foundation reports that the graduation rate of minorities especiall

y minority males, is 40% lower than whites. The Schott Foundation further reports:75% of crimes in the US are committed by high school drop- outs. Young African Americans and Hispanic constitute 80% of that population. The Good Success Solution:
The Good Success Academies organization endeavors to reverse the downward academic/personal trajectory of at-risk minority youth through the reimagining and reinventing of public education. Good Success Academies affirms that quality education bridges the gap between intractable poverty and upward economic mobility.
