SOFIA - Walk Against Domestic Violence S.O.F.I.A. is a Non Profit 501(c)3 Organization that provides supportive services for Domestic Violence Victims and Survivors. Spread the word!

Start Out Fresh Intervention Advocates lovingly known as (S.O.F.I.A.) would like to thank you for taking an interest in our organization. We are a non-profit 501(C)3 organization dedicated to Domestic Violence awareness, prevention and promotion of healthy relationships by helping others become self-sufficient, positive and successful. Start Out Fresh Intervention Advocates was created to support

women and children who are victims and survivors of Domestic Violence. We will do this by:
- Providing referrals for temporary housing, advocacy and supportive services
- Teaching essential life skills for survival in today’s society
- Offering information and resources not limited to drug rehabilitation, abuse/neglect counseling, etiquette instruction, mentoring, counseling, therapy, etc. For more information about S.O.F.I.A. and to receive updates about our events please visit our website, join our email list and visit our social media pages on Facebook and Instagram. We are 10 days away! You’re invited to an afternoon of laughter, music, and community spirit at S.O.F.I.A.’s upcoming Comedy & Karaoke Fundraiser!

All proceeds will support S.O.F.I.A.’s “Fresh Start Program,” which provides essential housewares and furniture for clients transitioning into their new homes after leaving safe housing.

Event Details:
Date: Sunday, May 17, 2026
Time: 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Location: Just Jakes, 30 Park Street, Montclair, NJ
Donation: $25

This exciting event will be hosted by DJ Corey Anderson and will feature comedy by Montclair’s own Glen “Rated G” Sellers, along with karaoke performances from local community leaders and special guests, including:

*Madeline Gale & Reubena Spence (Out Montclair)
*Mayor Renee Baskerville and company
*The Men of Eureka Lodge #52 & Golconda Temple #24
*Maddie and Garth Guthrie (Reaching Out Montclair
*Joe and Donna Davis (Brother to Brother).
