Powerful…Showing up for a child who feels invisible!

A very special thank you to Union County Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta showing up for our kids at our Spring Fling event. 🌷

Happy Anniversary to (The 29 Torches of Truth) on their 4th Deltaversary! How amazing is it that every year they honor their special day and the dedication of their 22 founders by completing a service project.

This year, they chose us! It’s not our first opportunity to collaborate but we have such a wonderful time making a collective impact on our kids!

They donated school supplies, clothing, necessities, snacks and other gifts 🎁

The most important gift they shared with our kids is…Proof that they matter. ♥️🤍

Every child deserves to be seen. Every child deserves to know they aren’t alone.

Today we’re honoring the Union County chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® Alpha Alpha Chi Omega for showing up for our youth in a way that can’t be measured, only felt.

Because of Dr. Stephanie Hunter‑Brown, President Elect, her sorors, and their incredible friends continue to make AO a priority & have CLEARED the Anderson Outreach Christmas Wishlist & purchase tons of gifts for youth who are spending the holidays in psychiatric residential treatment facilities —many of them without family, without visitors, and without anyone asking what they want for Christmas. 🎁

These aren’t “just gifts.”
They are proof to our youth that they matter. They aren’t forgotten. They are worthy of happiness, surprises & joy, not just at Christmas 🎄 but all year long.

For young people walking through some of the hardest chapters of their lives, a Christmas gift can be the moment that sparks hope, restores wonder, and reminds them that the world still holds goodness. It can shift how they see themselves—and that can change the trajectory of a lives. ✨

What we’re most grateful for is the continued support of this groundbreaking chapter & their continued support for all of our initiatives.

They give generously, and often behind the scenes. No spotlight needed. Just service, sisterhood, and love in action. 💚💗

From all of us at Anderson Outreach, your Sorors who serve alongside and from every child who will open a gift because of you—thank you for your partnership with us. 🎄🙏🏽🩷💚🩷💚
If you’re wondering whether giving matters… this is your sign. 💫

Are they in store for a treat! We are incredibly grateful to each of you.

Tonight’s gift wrapping event kicked off with a special partnership with the

We are incredibly grateful for their time, warm hearts and smiles. These ladies are worker bees! What a way to wrap 🎁 up the week! They brought the snacks and kindness.

Christmas morning is going to more than our kids can imagine. Ms. Janice, you’re the BEST! We love collaborating with you, the women of DST & your affiliates. Thank you for your continued support of our luggage initiatives & our holiday initiatives. It makes the difference! We are already looking forward to seeing all that we will be able to accomplish together in 2026!

Happy holidays! 🎄🎁♥️♥️🤍🤍

🎄 We kicked off of our 12 Days of Christmas with our 2nd Annual “Deck the Halls” event at psychiatric treatment facilities for youth who are spending the holidays away from home—often through circumstances they never chose.

At first, a few kids stayed back… quiet, heavy, not in the mood. But then something beautiful happened.
For almost an hour, youth began decorating, laughing, and helping each other. You could feel the shift—like joy was finally allowed in the room. 💫

And we didn’t do it alone. Our Joy Makers…10 incredible men—the “Santa Squad” from Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.—showed up with servant hearts and stayed until everything was finished.

They are the kind of dependable volunteers who always answer when Anderson Outreach calls. We didn’t just decorate a facility…

We reminded our youth that the wonders of Christmas can still reach them. ❤️

If you’ve ever wondered whether your time, your giving, or your presence matters—this is the proof. We got a call yesterday asking if it was too late. ⏰ It’s never to late to mend broken hearts ❤️‍🩹

👉 Join us. Volunteer. Donate. Partner.
When you do, the power of collective communty support reaches more than when we operate in silos.

In honor of Heather’s mother — a woman known for opening her home and heart to everyone — her family and friends chose to give to Anderson Outreach. 🥺🥀🥀🥀

Their incredible generosity filled our space with luggage, donations, love, and hope for our kids

Each suitcase will soon travel with a child who’s had to move from one facility or home to another. Yes, even over the holidays!💼

Young trauma survivors need support in so many ways. Therapy is just one vessel for healing the wounds of their past. Even so, we have been fortunate to partner with a wonderful team who has helped us unveil the power of equine therapy for the youth we serve:

Our youth attend 5-8 sessions a year on Saturdays. A special thank you to those who sponsor their sessions. The following are some of the wonderful benefits of each session:

Equine therapy helps youth build trust and emotional connections, which is vital for healing from trauma.

It promotes emotional regulation and reduces symptoms of anxiety, depression, and PTSD.

This type of therapy encourages self-awareness and self-esteem through non-verbal communication with horses.

It provides a safe and supportive environment for youth to express and process difficult emotions.

Equine therapy fosters resilience and coping skills, empowering youth to overcome feelings of abandonment and rejection.

Equine therapy offers a unique and powerful way to support healing and growth in traumatized youth.
