🎉 Happy Birthday to Diana Lyash, an incredible community leader, dedicated UCPS mom and true force of passion!

Diana brings so much to everything she does. Her heart of gold and genuine commitment to our community make a difference in more ways than we can count.

Diana, we hope your day is filled with all the joy and celebration you deserve!

🌟 Happy National Mentoring Day!

We are convinced that every student deserves someone in their corner. Mentors can help students dream a little bigger, try something new, navigate the tough stuff, and recognize the strengths they already have.

To every mentor making a difference, THANK YOU for showing up, cheering loud and helping students see what’s possible!

We’re celebrating TWO great things today!

First, we want to send a big thank you to Goulston Technologies for renewing their PIE membership and continuing to invest in UCPS students and educators.

Supporting the community isn’t something this team just does from time to time. It’s part of who they are. Goulston President and CEO Fred Edwards has even served on the UCEF board, and that same spirit of giving back continues through the company’s ongoing support of our schools.

And second, while we’re celebrating, help us wish Fred a very Happy Birthday! 🎉

We’re grateful for partners like Goulston who continue to show up for our students, educators and community year after year.

What if one small act of kindness could change someone’s entire day? What if it could change their school year, their confidence, and their belief that they belong? That’s the power of Unity Day.

Today, we’re standing up against bullying to create a school community where every student is seen and every voice is heard.

Be brave today - have those hard conversations with your students to make sure that together, we are choosing to make sure no student feels alone.

Today was SurPRIZE Patrol - one of our favorite days of the year! 🎉
There’s nothing quite like showing up at a school with a big surprise for some seriously incredible educators.
This year, we had the joy of visiting Western Union Elementary School, New Town Elementary School, Cuthbertson High School and Piedmont Middle School where we awarded nearly $35,000 in Innovation Grants to help bring new ideas, opportunities and experiences to life.
A huge thank you to our community partners who make moments like this possible. Because of your support, students across Union County have even more opportunities to learn, grow and THRIVE!

🎉 What. A. Day! 🎉

The smiles, the cheers, the happy tears… THIS is why we do what we do! ❤️

Today, our SurPRIZE Patrol traveled across Union County Public Schools celebrating incredible educators with innovative ideas that will make a difference for students!

💙 To our grant recipients: Congratulations! We believe in YOU and can’t wait to see your ideas come to life!

💙 To our generous donors and Partners in Education: YOU make these moments possible. Because of your support, we’re able to turn great ideas into incredible opportunities for students.

💙 To our volunteer Board of Directors: Thank you for showing up, celebrating our educators, and sharing in the joy of giving!

Today was about more than awarding grants. It was about reminding educators that their ideas matter, their passion matters, and their community believes in them.

Support Students. Encourage Educators. That’s what it’s all about! ❤️

Did you know that UCEF supports approximately 40,000 students and 5,000 educators across Union County Public Schools?

As the bridge between our schools and our community, we connect businesses, civic organizations, churches, families, and individual donors with opportunities to make a lasting difference.
