Before You Judge an Adult Child for Choosing a Nursing Home…

You may not know the whole story.
Many adult children cared for their parent at home for months or even years before realizing they could no longer safely meet every need alone.

And placing a parent in a nursing home does not always mean abandonment. Many still show up. They visit, call, attend appointments, advocate for proper care, pray, make difficult decisions, and continue loving their parents every step of the way.

Sometimes love looks like caring for someone at home. Sometimes love looks like recognizing when more help is needed.

For those who are not fortunate to attend church services. Go visit and take a word with you of uplifting and encouragement.

MONDAY-MEMORIES
Think of the memories that shaped us.Think of the sacrifices made. Their accomplishments, but most of all endurance. Which is the reason they are still here.

TUESDAY-THANKFUL
Our seniors have lived, learned, overcome challenges, and gained wisdom. Today we celebrate the life lessons they have to share.

WEDNESDAY-WELLNESS
Helping seniors to stay active, connected, and engaged. Keeping their mind and bodies in the best shape they can. Being that companion while walking.

THURSDAY-TALK IT OUT
Being able to listen to our seniors of how they feel is important. There is so much wisdom that could help us on our journey.

FRIDAY-FANTASTIC
It is the last day of the weekday make it an enjoyable fantastic day.

SATURDAY-SHARING
Share your time with a senior or someone who is not fortunate to get out and do things that we take for granted.

Women Over 55: Don't Ignore These UTI Warning Signs

If you're noticing more frequent trips to the bathroom, burning sensations, or unexpected changes in urinary habits—you're not alone. UTIs become significantly more common after 55, especially for women going through or post-menopause.

What you need to know:
✅ Estrogen decline thins urinary tract tissue, making infections easier
✅ Symptoms can be subtle—confusion, fatigue, or falls (not always the typical painful urination)
✅ Left untreated, UTIs can become serious in older adults
Prevention tips that actually work:
💧 Stay hydrated—drink plenty of water daily
🚽 Empty your bladder completely (take your time!)
🧴 Practice good hygiene; wipe front-to-back
🔍 Pay attention to changes in urinary habits
