💜 Join The Wellspring for a SAFER Task Force meeting Thursday, October 22 at 12 p.m. at Louisiana Delta Community College in Winnsboro. We’re excited to have Amanda Shepard as our guest speaker.

The SAFER Task Force brings professionals and community members together to strengthen our collective response to domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence and stalking.

This special joint meeting brings together participants from six rural parishes to recognize and work toward safer communities. Your voice and involvement can help strengthen the network of support available across our region.

Consent isn't just a conversation that happens once. It's an ongoing part of every healthy relationship.

No one owes their partner affection, intimacy or physical contact. True consent is freely given, informed, enthusiastic, and can be withdrawn at any time, even in a long-term relationship or marriage.

Healthy relationships are built on mutual respect, open communication and honoring each other's boundaries. When both people feel safe to express their needs and choices, trust can grow.

According to the Louisiana Violence Experiences Survey (LaVEX) published by Tulane University’s Newcomb Institute, over 1 million Louisiana women and almost 800,000 men have experienced Intimate Partner Violence(IPV). Approximately 440,000 Louisiana women and 100,000 Louisiana men have experienced potentially lethal forms of IPV- choking, beating, burning, or use of a weapon. #

Meet Michelle Hamilton!
As The Wellspring’s Vice President of Administration & Finance, Michelle provides the strong financial leadership that helps our mission move forward. She leads our finance team and oversees financial management, budgeting, and regulatory compliance to ensure every resource entrusted to us is managed with care.

Michelle earned a Bachelor of Accountancy and a Master of Business Administration from Mississippi State University. She is a Louisiana-licensed Certified Public Accountant and has served as president of the Northeast Chapter of the Louisiana Society of Certified Public Accountants (LCPA).

We’re grateful for the expertise and dedication she brings to The Wellspring.
