โšพ๐Ÿง  EVERY PLAY MATTERS. ๐Ÿง โšพ

Today, BIAMT is focusing on brain injuries in baseball and softball.

Head injuries can happen from:
โ€ข collisions on the field
โ€ข line drives
โ€ข slides
โ€ข catcher impacts
โ€ข being struck by a ball or bat

A concussion is not โ€œjust part of the game.โ€

Protecting athletes means:
๐Ÿ’š wearing batting helmets properly
๐Ÿ’š using catcher safety gear
๐Ÿ’š speaking up after impacts
๐Ÿ’š recognizing concussion symptoms early
๐Ÿ’š taking recovery seriously

Strong athletes protect their brain โ€” on and off the field.

๐Ÿ›น๐Ÿง  COOL IS PROTECTING YOUR BRAIN. ๐Ÿง ๐Ÿ›น

Today, BIAMT is focusing on brain injuries in skateboarding, BMX, and action sports.

Falls happen fast.
And head injuries can happen even faster.

A helmet may not prevent every injury โ€”
but it can dramatically reduce the risk of severe traumatic brain injury.

Whether at the skate park, on neighborhood ramps, or hitting Montana trails:
๐Ÿ’š Wear the helmet
๐Ÿ’š Replace damaged helmets
๐Ÿ’š Watch for concussion symptoms
๐Ÿ’š Speak up after hard falls
๐Ÿ’š Protect your future

The strongest riders are the ones who protect their brain.

โšฝ๐Ÿง  PROTECT MORE THAN THE GOAL. ๐Ÿง โšฝ

Today, BIAMT is focusing on brain injuries in soccer.

Concussions can happen from:
โ€ข player collisions
โ€ข falls
โ€ข headers
โ€ข contact with the ground or goalposts

And many athletes keep playing because they donโ€™t realize theyโ€™ve had a concussion.

But symptoms are not always immediate.

Watch for:
๐Ÿšฉ headaches
๐Ÿšฉ dizziness
๐Ÿšฉ confusion
๐Ÿšฉ blurry vision
๐Ÿšฉ sensitivity to light/noise
๐Ÿšฉ changes in behavior or balance

Smart athletes speak up.
Smart coaches listen.
Smart recovery takes time.

Protecting the brain is part of protecting the athlete.

๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿง  SPORTS SAFETY STARTS WITH THE BRAIN. ๐Ÿง ๐Ÿˆ

This week, BIAMT is focusing on brain injuries in Montana sports and how we can better protect athletes of all ages.

Today: Football.

Concussions can happen from:
โ€ข helmet-to-helmet contact
โ€ข hard tackles
โ€ข repeated impacts
โ€ข falls to the ground

And sometimes the signs are missed because athletes want to โ€œstay in the game.โ€

But brain injuries are not something to push through.

Warning signs can include:
๐Ÿšฉ headache
๐Ÿšฉ dizziness
๐Ÿšฉ confusion
๐Ÿšฉ sensitivity to light/noise
๐Ÿšฉ nausea
๐Ÿšฉ balance problems

Protecting athletes means:
๐Ÿ’š reporting symptoms
๐Ÿ’š proper tackling techniques
๐Ÿ’š wearing well-fitted equipment
๐Ÿ’š allowing full recovery before returning to play

No game is more important than a healthy brain.
