Help young people build confidence, connection, and courage this summer!

YWCA Missoula is seeking volunteers for GUTS!, a program that helps youth develop self-confidence, leadership skills, healthy relationships, and a strong sense of self through outdoor activities, creative projects, and supportive mentorship.

☀️ July 20–24

Volunteer shifts can be:
• Full week (Monday–Friday) or partial week
• Full day (8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.) or partial day
• Flexible schedules

Happy Pride Month! 🏳️‍🌈

This month, we celebrate the joy, courage, resilience, and contributions of LGBTQ+ people in our community.

At YWCA Missoula, we believe everyone deserves to feel safe, valued, and like they belong. Those values guide our work every day—whether we're providing emergency housing for families, shelter for survivors fleeing abuse, leadership programs for youth, or support groups where people can find connection and healing.

We are committed to creating spaces where people of all identities are welcomed, respected, and celebrated. Pride is a reminder that building a more just and inclusive community requires all of us looking out for one another, and we're proud to stand alongside LGBTQ+ community members, residents, staff, volunteers, and supporters.

Wishing everyone a joyful and affirming Pride ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

Missoula has shown up for Planet Kids — and it matters.

Nearly $30,000 was raised during Missoula Gives to support safe, supervised visits for families in our community.

And right now, that support is still needed.

With federal funding still uncertain, we’re working to raise $10,000 more to help keep this program available without interruption. Right now, gifts up to $2,500 will be matched.

If you’ve already given, thank you for being part of this. If you’re able to give now, your support helps ensure that survivors and children and are safe, and that parents can stay connected to their kids.

Hello everyone! I’m happy to announce that Jo’s Cleaning Co. will be having a booth at turner farms. I will be raffling beautiful Mother’s Day themed baskets with amazing prizes from local businesses in Missoula! The funds raised will go directly to the YWCA to help planet kids after they have lost some federal funding. This will cause a significant impact on local Missoula families! Please feel free to like, or repost! See you there zoo! 🌻🌸🧼

This week, we opened two Honored Spaces at The Meadowlark— dedicated structures within our shelter settings where residents and staff can engage in spiritual and cultural practices like smudging, reflection, and healing. Created with guidance from Indigenous residents, community partners, and our Racial Justice Program, these spaces recognize cultural connection as an essential part of resilience and recovery.

We’re grateful to elder Alan Pierre and Dr. Annie Belcourt for blessing these spaces and for the time, care, and guidance they shared.

Indigenous identity, ceremony, and spiritual practice belong here and are welcome here.

We’re halfway there! 💛

Thanks to this incredible community, we’ve already raised $17,000 to keep Planet Kids here for Missoula families—and every donation is still being matched dollar for dollar.

That means your gift goes twice as far to support safe visitation, child-centered services, and critical support for families navigating difficult circumstances.

Let’s keep the momentum going. Help us cross the finish line and unlock the full match!
