Applications close May 22 for the studios, 1-bedrooms, and 2-bedrooms available at Ravara Homes. We're very excited to see folks move into these beautiful, new-build, attainably-priced homes that start at $177,000. We also encourage folks to check out the income qualification calculator as the updated numbers for 2026 mean more folks might qualify.

Welcome to our new Senior Fundraising Manager, Julie Nelson!

Julie brings over 20 years of experience in both nonprofit and for-profit development. Julie has lived in Montana for 25 years but recently joined the Missoula community, where she is excited to put down roots, meet new people, and be part of the work that helps this community thrive.

Julie began her career in nonprofit development in 2001 before spending over 15 years in the for-profit sector focused on business development, strategic partnerships, and business advising. She also served for five years on the board of Friends of Hyalite and most recently as the development officer with Thrive, a Gallatin Valley nonprofit focused on supporting children and families.

Julie cares deeply about helping communities stay strong and connected. She loves bringing people together, building relationships, and finding creative ways for organizations and community members to work together.

Outside of work, Julie loves taking advantage of everything Montana has to offer. You’ll often find her hiking, exploring Montana on road trips, or creating art and music.

We’re celebrating World Community Land Trust Day coming up in mid-May. Limited seats are still available on our upcoming bike and bus tours! (Well, the bike tour is a "bring your own seat" kind of deal, but you get it.)
Our bus tours filled up fast last year so we recommend claiming your spot early! We'll host a happy hour reception at Burns Street Commons after the bus tour.

We've had a great week participating in the May Commuter Challenge with a mix of biking, busing, and telecommuting. For some folks on staff, this was their very first week of bike commuting. Thanks Missoula In Motion for such a fun program.
