The sun is shining, the Griz are warming up and the annual Griz for Kids Holiday fundraiser is ready to go! Bring a donation or a new, unwrapped toy to the game, or give online at www.grizforkids.com.

The Griz for Kids Toy Drive, organized by the Mountain of Giving Foundation, is an all-volunteer effort bringing holiday cheer to children in need across Missoula and the Bitterroot Valley. In 2025, we are serving 771 local kids through 10 partner agencies.

The drive kicks off November 8 at the University of Montana football game, where volunteers collect toys and donations. During the week of Thanksgiving, wish-tag trees will be set up at businesses, allowing donors to “adopt” a child, shop for their gifts, and return them to the tree. Gifts are distributed the week before Christmas to ensure every child receives a holiday surprise.

Griz for Kids is part of Mountain Broadcasting Foundation, a non-profit to make sure children 17 and younger who are in need experience the joy of the holidays.

We gather a lot of toys at the annual Griz for Kids Toy Drive at one Grizzly Football game each year. And then...they have to be sorted and organzed so that local agencies can fulfill wishes of local children in need.

After a long day driving children all over Missoula to school, the drivers, their families and friends from Beach Transportation, the school bus people, come together and spend an evening sorting toys for children in need.
