💛 Summer camp might just be our favorite two weeks of the year! From pantoums and surrealist poetry to shadow puppets, comics, chemistry experiments, river adventures, and museum visits, our young writers filled their notebooks with stories, imagination, and discovery. 📝🦋🌿

We love all the imagining and questioning that Eleanor does in this poem. From her vantage point on the highway, she contemplates the clouds, the trees, the black bears, the bitterroots, the flies, and the spiders--all the inhabitants of the mountain she is observing. And she poses the question, "what is it that makes something beautiful or valuble?"
