We talk about Gaza and Sudan… but do you know what's happening in Yemen? 🇾🇪
For more than a decade, Yemen has endured one of the world's worst humanitarian crises. This summer, fighting broke out again. In just two weeks in September 2026, more than 112,000 people were displaced, and nearly 3,000 more crossed the Gulf of Aden to seek refuge in Djibouti. This comes on top of the 5.2 million people already internally displaced before this latest escalation.
Behind the numbers are lives:
• More than half a million children under 5 are severely malnourished
• 1.3 million pregnant and breastfeeding women are acutely malnourished
• 14.4 million people need help accessing clean water, sanitation and hygiene, leaving families exposed to diseases like cholera and measles
And just as needs are soaring, aid is shrinking. The 2026 humanitarian response plan is less than 15% funded, and food assistance has been sharply reduced.
Still, our teams on the ground keep going. Since 2014, we've supported more than 900,000 people in Yemen with healthcare, food and emergency relief.
When funding disappears, every action counts. Talking about Yemen is already taking action.
