Last weekend's camping trip at Casper's had a bunch of elements and our scouts (literally) weathered them all! From extreme winds and dust storms, to beautiful sunrises and heavy rains. Luckily, these scouts still had a lot of fun! Yummy food like mac & cheese with ham and sloppy joes, a hike with great views and scout skills around camp.

Visiting webelos and AOL scouts had a lot of fun at our troop activity day today! Scouts learned first aid skills, played frisbee & kickball, ate donuts, had a water bomb war, cooked hot dogs and had fun!

Our booth at Scout Fest was well manned! Scouts hosted a fun game as well as played in community games like a water balloon toss, volleyball, and tug-o-war. We hope to see a few of the Arrow of Life scouts we met at our AOL day this Saturday!

Last weekend scouts enjoyed the crisp air of Mount Palomar. After the humid heatwave, it was a welcome relief. There were two separate hikes, both with amazing views and tons of nature, and delicious meals cooked by scouts and scouters. Though there were some pretty big spiders, touring the giant telescope, lounging around camp, hanging out with friends, and brushing up on scout skills made this camp out a great one!

At our quarterly Court of Honors, we take time to celebrate the recent achievements our scouts and leaders have been working on for the last 3 months. Parents, friends, and loved ones are invited and the event is followed by treats.

At COH, merit badges, leadership positions, special awards like "60 nights camping", and rank advancements all get awarded. Scouts who rank up give their parent a special lapel pin of their rank to wear. Almost every scout earned something at this end-of-summer event! Even our Scoutmaster Paul was awarded his official Wood Badge after completing the requirements. He received special recognition, Gilwell neckerchief (with tartan on the back), leather woggle, Wood Badge beads, and certificate.

Our first Troop meeting back after summer was an exciting one! Scouts were presented 3 summer camp options and got to vote for their favorite!
