“My name is Josephine. I’ve been a witch doctor for 40 years in Malawi. I never knew anything about God and had no regard for God.

One night, I felt terribly sick, and my five-year-old granddaughter, Priscilla, asked me to raise my hand, so she could pray for me. I refused at first, but later on I allowed her to pray for me, because she started to cry. Priscilla shocked me that night as she recited Psalm 103:3, which says, ‘The Lord heels all our diseases.’ After 30 minutes, I felt well and strong again.

I asked Priscilla where she learned this, and she told me that it was at the CBS class, secretly goes with her friends and where she learned that God heals. I cried to God, asking for forgiveness and the next morning I went to a pastor to lead me to Christ, which he did. We went home and I burned all my charms and released all the people who were under my spell.

I thought Priscilla was the one to take over for me as a witch doctor when I died, but God’s plans were to save Priscilla and Me from the yolk of Satan. I thank God for being a born again, Christian. I am 91 years old now, and I will die a happy old woman.”

To our beautiful ladies of our Most High King!

Did you know that Vacation Bible School is now offered all year? That’s right! An opportunity for kids in 1st–6th grades to get to know Jesus through CBS’s After School Kids (ASK) Class.

Who do you know or see in your neighborhood with children? Just like all of us, those children need to know and learn about Jesus! Would you join us in spreading the word to those parents?

In addition to word of mouth, you have the opportunity to text and/or email the attached digital Outreach Card.

The fall session begins next week on Tuesday, September 12. Here are the details:

-- Place: South Coast Christian Church, 31501 Ave. Los Cerritos, San Juan Capistrano

-- Time: 4:00–5:30 pm

-- Fall Session: September 12–November 14, 2023 – “Gifts from God”

-- Winter Session: January 16–March 19, 2024 – “Parables for God’s Masterpiece”

-- Cost: $50 for both sessions combined – includes a Bible (for new students), lesson book, class t-shirt, and backpack. Scholarships are available.
