Our President on the MCPA board was able to do a ride along with a couple of the officers to visit a few parties!

We survived the heat at yesterday’s Minnetonka Farmers Market! Despite the warm weather, we were grateful for all of the community members who stopped by our booth. We handed out frozen freeze pops to the kids (and a few adults!), accepted donations, and shared some of our plush K-9s, new yard signs, and window clings.

Thank you to everyone for your continued support of the Minnetonka Crime Prevention Association and the Minnetonka Police Department. We truly appreciate it!

We also enjoyed the opportunity to connect with our law enforcement partners from the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office Community Engagement Team.

The Minnetonka Crime Prevention is now selling yard signs and window clings!

Items may be picked up in the Minnetonka Police Department lobby during normal business hours.

FYI on a new scam in Minnetonka.

🚨 SCAM ALERT! 🚨

We've recently received several reports of scammers posing as law enforcement officers or court officials. The caller may claim you missed jury duty, failed to appear in court, or have a warrant for your arrest, then demand immediate payment to resolve the issue.

Remember:
- Government agencies will never call and demand payment over the phone.
- Agencies do not accept payment through gift cards, cryptocurrency, payment apps or prepaid debit cards.
- You will not be threatened with immediate arrest during a phone call.

If you receive a call like this, hang up and do not send money or provide personal information.

If you're unsure whether a call is legitimate, contact the agency directly using a phone number you find independently on an official website or in a public directory.
