MPA is incredibly grateful to the David Swenson Memorial Scholarship Foundation for their generous donation in 2026!

This donation greatly enhances MPA’s ability to provide for the community through strengthening the existing scholarship program, introducing 2 new scholarships, and supporting other avenues that ensure a bright future for the circuit.

David Swenson graduated from St. Cloud State University in 1976 with a music education degree. He was a percussionist with multiple goals in music and life, and in 1994 he posthumously established a foundation dedicated to advancing the percussive arts.

Thank you, David Swenson Memorial Scholarship Foundation!
