If your family has lost a military member, veteran, or first responder to su***de, you can request your free Red Star Banner.

No family should feel forgotten. No loved one’s service should be erased by the way they died. A Red Star Banner is available free of charge to the next of kin of current military, veterans, and first responders who died by su***de.

The Red Star Banner was created to honor Red Star Families, families who too often grieve in silence after losing someone who served our nation or communities. This banner is a symbol of remembrance, recognition, and hope.

The Red Star Banner has already been recognized in Congress, and national support continues to grow from respected military and veteran organizations, including:

Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA), Disabled American Veterans (DAV), Military Order of the Purple Heart (MOPH), Marine Corps League (MCL), Association of the United States Navy and America’s Gold Star Families (AGSF).
