Lower Northeast Neighborhoods Association

Lower Northeast Neighborhoods Association All are welcome here. We believe that abuse of authority and disregard for human life should be completely eradicated from all institutions.

Lower Northeast Neighborhoods Association (LNENA) is recognized by the City of Minneapolis as the official neighborhood organization for the Beltrami and Northeast Park neighborhoods. NEPNA Statement of Inclusivity

The Northeast Park Neighborhood Association is committed to creating a community that is open and fully accepting of all people without regard to age, abilities, race, ethnicity, count

ry of origin, religious belief, cultural background, language, gender identity, sexual orientation, military/veteran status, or socioeconomic status. We recognize that diversity is our strength and shapes our decisions for creating a neighborhood that offers opportunities to individuals and families, and strives to protect all from hatred, bigotry, and persecution. Northeast Park’s Statement Regarding George Floyd’s Murder

As a community organization, we were appalled to see the police brutality towards George Floyd resulting in his horrible death. We recognize that Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) disproportionately suffer from these abuses and oppression in our systems and society. Racism has no place in our world and we need to all work towards ending it. These are trying times for our city and country. It is our desire that we come together to discuss and work for solutions that can change this system to ensure that everyone lives in a safe community where they have access to equitable resources and opportunities. We need to strive for this as a neighborhood organization. NEPNA is committed to working together to improve our culture and create a better society. We are open to any suggestions you have towards achieving these objectives.

Okay, real talk: We know 4pm is NOT ~after dark~ in September. We named this event last winter when the sun was setting much earlier (😫)... Anyway, the name stuck & we're sticking with it.

SATURDAY, Sept 12th → Traditional clothing swap! Bring items, take items. All are welcome; no need to bring anything to take anything, no need to take anything to bring anything.

SUNDAY, Sept 13th → ALL TAKE, NO GIVE ☝️ We're not accepting new items this day. It's just come pick through what's left! Take what sparks joy.

Got questions❓ ASK 'EM. We know every swap runs a little differently, and we'd rather over-explain than let you stress. Head to the link in our bio for more info, and if you're still left wondering, comment below, slide into our DMs, or email us like a professional adult at [email protected]
