Residents can become a member of SCVC and influence the direction of the neighborhood b

y volunteering on projects and committees and by sharing their perspective on issues that impact the community. Membership registration takes place at SCVC's community meetings which are the fourth Wednesday of most months.

On Tuesday night we had a very lovely evening of working in the Loring pollinator garden! The flowers are blooming and our pollinator friends are loving it. Thanks so much to the five awesome volunteers who joined us on Tuesday night, we wouldn't be able to keep our gardens looking lush and maintained without you! THANK YOU!

Over the last 30+ years we have had great music in the park events, incredible committees supporting community gardens, connections with our local schools, community safety events and more. Great relationships have been built while tending gardens, singing with local artists and grabbing food at food trucks while supporting local businesses.

Thanks for all of your support and participation! This year we are working on raising funds to continue these efforts and keep our community growing. When we know each other better, we are actively building a safer community, actively building a better place for our neighbors to live and new neighbors to join. Consider giving to your local neighborhood association with one time gifts or a monthly gift!

We had 11 people on Sunday and 9 people on Monday, come to help out with our Woodchip Workday at Victory Community Garden! Neighbors helped out by loaning a trailer, hauling wood chips to the site, and collecting cardboard. Then we put down cardboard and spread 4 cubic yards of wood chips to smother weeds and help keep the paths looking neat and tidy! Thank you all SO much for participating, and helping us keep our community garden looking nice!
