They cleared out the encampment yesterday under the 55 bridge on cedar. Without offering any opinions about why or how. Watching the whole thing yesterday was a spectacle. And I say this humbly, to watch humans, I'm talking about all involved. Quickly going about their tasks, everyone trying to better their life after making the decisions they've made. It really shows you the impact of a bad decision, or a couple bad decisions stacked on one another. Then humans, on the other side, having made good decisions working for the city now doing something they don't feel absolutely comfortable Doing but still needing to better their lives.

It really is humbling to watch how we all interact with each other.

Knowing what I know, I have to say. The city could try a few reality based programs to combat homelessness. Focus directly on the 3 different populations on the streets of MSP.
#1 The People that seems to enjoy the street life.

#2 The mentally ill.

#3 The drug addicts.

These groups have entirely different problems that need entirely different solutions.
