Kletzsch Park needs your input!

Kletzsch Park is a familiar place for trails, sports, fishing, and time along the Milwaukee River. It is also an important urban habitat where forests, floodplain wetlands, grasslands, and river edges support breeding birds, turtles, pollinators, and other wildlife.
Milwaukee County Parks and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources are developing an Ecological Restoration and Management Plan for approximately 112 acres of parkland between Good Hope Road and West Bender Road. The plan documents existing conditions, identifies ecological opportunities and constraints, and compares three approaches to long-term habitat restoration.
The project is part of broader restoration work in the Milwaukee Estuary Area of Concern. Its goal is to improve habitat for priority wildlife while protecting valued park experiences, cultural resources, and the ecological character that already makes Kletzsch Park distinctive.
