Free Admission today at ABHM

In Commemoration: August 7th, 1930

Today marks 95 years since the day in 1930 that our founder, Dr. James Cameron, survived a public lynching in Marion, Indiana at just 16 years old. He is one of few known survivors of a public lynching in American history. He spent the remainder of his life as a beacon for education, equal rights, forgiveness, reconciliation, and healing.

We will have free admission from 10 AM to 5 PM for those who would like to join us at the museum to honor Dr. Cameron’s survival and legacy.
