Projectid Project id is a non-profit organization serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Projectid is a non-profit organization established to provide recreation, social, work, and other life opportunities for adults (and their families) with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Spokane County. Projectid was formed out of the vision of one set of parents and their desire to create a future for their daughter and her peers who have special needs. This would allow them to enjo

y the same pleasures, responsibilities, and growth opportunities as every young adult but within a context that met but challenged their needs. That vision, shared with a group of coaches and volunteers already passionate about this population through Special Olympics Sports (Spokane's Wolfpack), formed the foundation for Project id. Project is about to open a recreation center for adults with intellectual disabilities and begin programming including family resources, classes and groups on life and living skills and specialized job training.

They've been all over the place this week! From visiting the INW Rail Museum ๐Ÿš‚, walking the Centennial Trail ๐ŸŒณ, and going bowling ๐ŸŽณ, to hunting for treasures at yard sales ๐Ÿ›๏ธโ€”they've stayed busy and had a blast!

Thereโ€™s never a dull moment with this crew. I think Iโ€™m going to join this group next week! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ’™

Contrary to what the weather would have us believe, summer is almost here! ๐Ÿ˜„ And you know what that means...

BBQ Season! ๐ŸŽ‰

Weโ€™re excited to announce our first BBQ of the year on June 17th for both our Day and Evening Programs.

If youโ€™d like to help out by donating some of the fixings, we would greatly appreciate it! Hereโ€™s what we need:

๐ŸŒญ BBQ Needs List
50 hamburger patties
50 hamburger buns
50 hot dog buns
Lettuce
Mayo
Sauerkraut
Mustard
Pickle relish
50 individually bagged chips
๐Ÿฅ— Pasta Salad Ingredients
5 large bags or 10 small bags tri-colored pasta
3 bell peppers
2 cans olives
2 lbs cheddar cheese
2 cans artichoke hearts
1 large bottle Italian dressing
2 containers cherry tomatoes

If you're able to donate any of these items, please contact us so we can update our list. We would like to have all donations by Monday, June 15th.

Can you believe itโ€™s already June?! We sure hope the temperatures level out soon โ€” weโ€™re voting for 75ยฐ and sunny! Whoโ€™s with us? ๐Ÿ˜„๐ŸŒค๏ธ

We have lots of fun activities planned this month:

๐ŸŒŸ Excursion Groups will be out and about quite a bit
๐ŸŒฟ Day Program plans to spend time outside on the lawn during nice weather
๐ŸŒž Evening Program is looking forward to enjoying some outdoor activities too

We also have several new members joining us this month. When you see someone new, be sure to say hello and help make them feel welcome! ๐Ÿ’™

Weโ€™re looking forward to another fun-filled month with all of you.
