The Harris & Mead Group, an educational consulting firm with an office in Rhinebeck, invites local students and families to a free, one-hour college admissions program.

Co-founder Slade Mead, a Rhinebeck resident, will guide families through the key components of the college admissions process. Designed especially for juniors (Class of 2027) and their parents, this session offers clear, practical insight into:
Building a thoughtful and balanced college list
Navigating the Common Application
Understanding supplemental essays
Requesting teacher recommendations
Presenting extracurricular activities effectively
SAT/ACT testing considerations
What colleges consider when evaluating applicants
The evening will conclude with time for audience questions.

About the Speaker:

Slade Mead is a Rhinebeck resident with eighteen years of experience in college counseling and formerly served as Director of College Placement at Trinity-Pawling School. He has guided hundreds of students through the admissions process, supported more than 1,000 college essays, and worked with applicants to over 300 colleges and universities. In addition to his educational work, Slade is active in the local community and currently serves as a town justice. He holds a degree from Yale College and a J.D. from the University of Connecticut.

So many thanks to everyone who joined us for the Taste of Millbrook last month! It was truly a magical evening - delicious food and drinks from our favorite local businesses, amazing music from the school jazz band and the Hammerhead Horns, a fantastic silent auction and even the Knicks game! But the best part was the community who showed up in such a wonderful way to support the Millbrook Central School District

Marona’s Market has been offering an expanded menu of delicious prepared foods and catering options at the market and we are very much looking forward to welcoming them to the Taste of Millbrook! On their menu will be pulled pork sliders and pasta salad! Perfect for an (almost) summer evening.
