✨ A Little Creativity, A Lot of Community! 🪵

One of our talented Community Shed of Mid-Michigan (CSMM) members has created a beautiful stained-glass shadow box featuring the CSMM logo!

This one-of-a-kind piece is a wonderful example of the creativity, craftsmanship, and pride our members bring to the Shed. While woodworking brings us together, it’s the opportunity to share talents, learn from one another, and build lasting friendships that makes CSMM so special.

At the Shed, we’re always creating something meaningful — in our projects and in our community! 💚

🐾 Sawdust with a Purpose! 🐾

The Community Shed of Mid-Michigan was happy to donate sawdust to the Humane Society of Midland County to help create a comfortable outdoor space for cats in their care.

It’s a great example of how the byproduct of our community-based projects can benefit others. What might otherwise be a leftover from our woodworking projects can be put to good use helping animals in our community. 🐱❤️

At the Shed, it’s not just about what we build—it’s about the connections we make and the ways our work can make a difference.

🪵🇺🇸 Wood with a Purpose — Honoring Those Who Served

At the Community Shed of Mid-Michigan, we’re fortunate to have members who believe in giving back—not only with their time and skills, but also with the materials they have available.

A special thank-you to Paul, one of our CSMM members for donating wood that will be used to build flag cases for the Midland VFW. What was once an oak table became a meaningful tribute to veterans and a lasting way to honor their service and sacrifice.

This is what Projects with Purpose is all about—members sharing what they have, working together, and creating something that matters to our community. ❤️🇺🇸

Thank you for helping us Build Community!

We were honored to be the “Community Organization of the Game” at the Great Lakes Loons baseball game on Friday night. The Loons are a high A affiliate of the LA Dodgers and are a fun and integral part of our Midland Area Community.

A fun evening for ~15 members of our Community Shed and families to get together. We had a number of people stop by our table and chat, get more information, sign up as potential members or had potential projects for us to help other organizations with.

Thank you Great Lakes Loons

The Community Shed of Mid Michigan is proud to support another Project with Purpose!

Our members recently came together to assemble a storage shed for the Midland County Food Assistance Network, helping provide additional space to support their important work in our community.

This project is another great example of neighbors helping neighbors through teamwork, craftsmanship, and volunteer service.

Together, we are making a difference—one project at a time.

Supporting the great work of the Open Door with a mobile cabinet.

New cabinet alert!

Our friends from Community Shed of Mid Michigan made this beautiful cabinet in memory of Bill and Justin Hartwick to be placed in the office of the men’s shelter. Here, it will be store, protect, and care for the guests who stay at the Open Door - a testimony to two men who left this world too soon, but their legacies continue in our community.

We are blessed by their memory, and we are blessed by the Community Shed!
