This September, we’re celebrating the bi+ community to raise awareness and combat bisexual erasure and stereotypes.

This month is about addressing misconceptions with the bi+ community, promoting education and historical contributions of bi+ individuals/groups, and foster safe and inclusive spaces for our bi+ siblings.

To all of the bi+ community members, THANK YOU for being your authentic self, and we’re so proud to stand alongside you in our fight for equality and equity.

This Women's Equality Day, we're reflecting on what Women's Equality Day means to our 2SLGBTQ+ community members...

Women's Equality Day, celebrated in the United States, is observed on August 26 each year. Today commemorating the 1920 adoption of the Nineteenth Amendment, which guaranteed women the constitutional right to vote.

To all women who are in our community, are allies, and who are still fighting for equal and fair treatment, Great Lakes Bay Pride will ALWAYS stand with you for your right to equal and equitable treatment.

Thank you to every woman, past and present, who has contributed to our organization, and the greater world, and who make society a better place daily. 💜

Dolly Parton, fearless 2SLGBTQ+ ally, has passed away today, August 25, 2026.

Dolly’s lifelong advocacy for kindness, acceptance, equality, and unwavering support are contributions our 2SLGBTQ+ community will never forget.

Dolly’s songs like “Family” and “Coat of Many Colors,” and work on the “Dumplin’” movies soundtrack illustrate how important inclusivity and support are from our community’s allies, and brought countless families and friends together.

Great Lakes Bay Pride is heartbroken to hear about the legend Dolly Parton’s passing, and the hole the universally loved entertainer will leave in the entertainment industry without her presence.

Rest in Power, Dolly. 🕊

We want to send a very special HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Aaron Aaron Paiva Leyton, our First Friday Dinner Coordinator! 🎂🎊

Aaron is an amazing coordinator for our First Friday Dinners and consistently makes an inclusive, energetic, and fun atmosphere for our monthly programming. Aaron is also a consistent volunteer for our organization, and always volunteers with a huge smile on his face, creating warm and approachable programs and events.
