We support local businesses through signature events, initiatives and the Middlebury Money program. We prote

ct the integrity and vitality of Middlebury's downtown by running the State's Designated Downtown program, and overseeing the Downtown Improvement District. We advocate for projects and initiatives that will contribute to smart economic growth. And, we build community because we believe that it's the most important thing we can do. Our annual events throughout the year have experienced enormous success and support over the past few years, bringing thousands of people into our downtown.

✨ Thursday Night at Mini-Ilsley: A Beautiful Reminder of the Tiny Creatures Holding Our World Together ✨

Join the Ilsley Public Library and Pollinator Pathway of Addison County for a free screening of the award-winning documentary The Little Things That Run the World on Thursday, May 28 from 7–9 PM at Mini-Ilsley.

This visually stunning and surprisingly hopeful film takes us into the hidden world of bees, butterflies, beetles, and countless other pollinators and tiny creatures that quietly sustain life all around us. Beautifully filmed and deeply moving, it’s a reminder of just how connected we are to the natural world — and how even small actions can make a difference.

Come spend an inspiring evening with fellow community members and leave with a renewed sense of wonder (and maybe a few ideas for your own garden, porch, or backyard).

As part of Mental Health Awareness Month, join fellow community members for a relaxed, creative evening of free collage-making. Reimagine a favorite book cover, recreate a work of art, or make something entirely your own.

All materials are provided — though if you have a beloved pair of scissors, bring them along!

Come make art, unwind a little, and spend a cozy evening in community.
