MALT Summer Camp just became even more extraordinary! Thanks to the addition of passionate new team members, we've opened up a few more spots for our one-of-a-kind, all-outdoor summer adventure at Otter Creek Gorge.

If you've been waiting for the perfect opportunity to immerse your child in nature, now is the time.

Why Choose Our 100% Outdoor Camp?

Our camp is set entirely outdoors, allowing children to disconnect from screens and reconnect with the natural world. Each week we will journey along the TAM Trail where we build fires in the red roof shelter, snack and build forts at the castle, explore and cool off in the marble caves, have lunch in hemlock grove and of course run from ice monsters in the magic kingdom!

Through wildlife exploration, campers will learn how to manage natural challenges, develop resilience, teamwork, and self-confidence. These experiences foster a sense of accomplishment, creativity and personal growth that will NEVER be forgotten!

Join Wetland Ecologist Zapata Courage from Vermont’s Department of Environmental Conservation for a family-friendly nature walk through Wright Park’s rich and diverse wetland habitat. 🌾🦫🌊

👣 Start near the parking lot, journey down to the zig-zag bridge, and into the wetland zone
🧠 Learn how to identify wetlands using plants and explore the role of beavers & floodplain ecosystems

🎨🌿 Art on the Trails: A Nature-Inspired Outdoor Gallery Walk

Join us on Saturday, May 24th from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Wright Park (Seymour St Ext entrance) in Middlebury, VT, for a unique outdoor art experience.

What to Expect:

Self-Guided Gallery Walk: Embark on a scenic 1-mile hike along the TAM trail, featuring original abstract landscape paintings by artist Mira Cabrera, created using natural foraged pigments.

Interactive Demonstration: After the walk, Mira will demonstrate her process of foraging and incorporating natural pigments into her artwork.

Creative Workshop: Middlebury Studio School instructors will provide watercolor supplies and guidance for participants to create their own masterpieces using natural earth pigments. No prior experience is necessary!
