💜 Remembering Dolly Parton💜

Today, we join countless families, readers, and communities in remembering a truly extraordinary woman whose kindness, generosity, and love of children touched generations.

Dolly Parton gave the world so much through her music and storytelling, but her impact reached far beyond the stage. Through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, she helped make the simple joy of receiving a book each month a reality for millions of children—including children right here in Addison County.

At Addison County Readers, we are especially grateful for the doors she opened through books. Her belief that every child deserves the opportunity to dream, imagine, and grow through reading has inspired the work we do.

Her songs will be remembered.
Her kindness will be remembered.
Her generosity will be remembered.
And her love of children and books will live on in every child who opens a book.

Thank you, Dolly, for showing the world that one person with a big heart can make an incredible difference.

Stop by, say hello to our volunteers, learn more about ACR and our early childhood literacy programs, and enjoy a wonderful day celebrating the Vergennes community. We’d love to see you there!

Through Addison County Readers and Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, local children living within Addison County can receive a FREE book delivered to their mailbox every month from birth to age 5.
