Summer is here, and the school year is almost over! As children and teens spend more time in camps, programs, community activities, and online spaces, it's important for youth-serving organizations to stay focused on creating safe, supportive environments for every child.

How is your organization helping keep kids safe this summer and beyond? Check out the resources below to learn more about best practices, prevention strategies, and ways to strengthen child safety efforts in your community.

This is not happening somewhere else. It is happening in schools, neighborhoods, sports programs, faith communities, and homes across the country.

Day 29 - As we wrap up Child Abuse Prevention Month, we reflect on the importance of protecting children—but also on the people doing that work every single day.

Behind every safe space, every forensic interview, every moment of advocacy… there are nonprofit professionals showing up with compassion, expertise, and resilience.

Recent research from the Nonprofit Finance Fund reminds us that these workers are truly the heart of the sector—yet many face burnout, financial strain, and barriers that threaten their well-being and the services communities rely on.

When we support nonprofit staff, we strengthen entire communities.
When we invest in their well-being, we protect the quality and sustainability of care for children and families.

As April comes to a close, let’s continue the work:
đź’™ Support your local child advocacy center
đź’™ Advocate for sustainable funding
đź’™ Recognize and uplift the people behind the mission

Because prevention doesn’t end with a month—and neither should our support.
