We love seeing creative, child-centered solutions in action at Child Advocacy Centers.
This is a perfect example of what Child Advocacy Centers do every day. CACs are designed to reduce trauma for children during the investigative process by providing a safe, supportive, and child-focused environment. Sometimes that means adapting our spaces, our schedules, or our approach to meet the unique needs of each child.
At Child Advocacy Centers, the child comes first. Every child deserves to feel safe, comfortable, and heard—and stories like this remind us why a child-centered approach matters.

📢 We Want to Hear From You!

Addison County Unit for Special Investigations & Child Advocacy Center is proud to partner with the United Way and the Vermont Department of Health to launch our Professional Development Series Survey.

We are exploring future training and professional development opportunities for educators, service providers, youth-serving professionals, and community partners. Your feedback will help us identify topics of interest, training needs, and opportunities to better support the children and families in our communities.

📝 The survey only takes a few minutes to complete, and your input will directly shape future learning opportunities.
🔗 Take the survey here: https://unitedwayaddisoncounty.dm.networkforgood.com/forms/professional-development-series-interest-survey

Please help us reach as many community members and professionals as possible by sharing this survey with your colleagues, partners, and networks. The more feedback we receive, the better we can tailor future professional development opportunities to meet the needs of our community.

Thank you for helping us create meaningful, relevant, and impactful learning opportunities that strengthen our ability to support children, youth, and families.

This is not happening somewhere else. It is happening in schools, neighborhoods, sports programs, faith communities, and homes across the country.

Children should not have to protect themselves from abuse. That responsibility belongs to adults.

Silence creates opportunities for harm. Action can help stop it. 💙
