Rock the Plaza, hosted by the Boynton Beach CRA Boynton Beach CRA , is coming to Ocean Palm Plaza tomorrow, August 22, from 2–6 PM, featuring live music from Girlfriend Material!

This free community event puts the spotlight on local businesses while bringing everyone together for live entertainment, family-friendly activities and a great reason to explore the plaza.

Camille Marchese, Executive Director of the Coconut Grove Arts Festival, is one of GMFEA's most dedicated Board members.

With years of experience producing one of South Florida's most iconic arts festivals, Camille brings an incredible depth of knowledge, leadership, and industry expertise to GMFEA. She is someone we can always count on for thoughtful advice, honest feedback, valuable connections, and a willingness to help wherever she's needed.

Whether she's volunteering her time, contributing ideas, or helping guide important decisions, Camille's dedication to our organization never goes unnoticed. Her passion for the events industry and commitment to helping GMFEA grow make her an invaluable member of our leadership team.

🎶 GMFEA Performer Spotlight: Héli 🎶

Some performers take the stage. Héli brings a whole world of sound with her. ✨

The acclaimed Brazilian singer, songwriter, instrumentalist and music producer blends jazz, soul and R&B with the rhythm, melody and unmistakable soul of Brazilian music.

We had the pleasure of having Héli perform at the GMFEA Annual Conference, where she gave our attendees a taste of the sophisticated, soulful sound she has been creating since the release of her debut album in 1996.

Consider us still on a Héli high. 🎤🇧🇷

Their creativity turned our vision into an experience, creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere that wowed our attendees from the moment they walked in.

The first week of school is almost done, so how about a little FREE family fun this weekend? 📚🎉

GMFEA member Miami Dade College is inviting the community to its Kids & Family Festival at the Hialeah Campus tomorrow, Saturday, August 15 from 10 AM–2 PM.

Families can enjoy a kids play area, arts and crafts, giveaways, special performances and FREE professional Back to School photos while supplies last. 📸

The event benefits the I AM MDC Day fundraising drive and is free and open to the public.

✨ Meet the GMFEA Board ✨

Meet Amanda MacMaster, whose passion for festivals, events, and marketing has shaped her career for years.

Amanda began her career in event marketing with Art Deco Weekend and has spent years helping festivals, events, nonprofits, destinations, and businesses increase attendance, strengthen their brands, and tell stories that inspire people to take action. She also served as Executive Director of GMFEA for several years before passing the baton to David to focus on growing MasterWing Creative Agency, where she is Co Founder and Chief Marketing Officer.

Today, Amanda specializes in strategic marketing, branding, storytelling, content creation, and digital strategy. She believes every event has a story worth sharing and is passionate about helping the events industry connect with audiences in meaningful and creative ways.

Amanda remains an active member of the GMFEA Board, where she continues to contribute marketing expertise, creative ideas, strategic guidance, and a strong commitment to the future of the festivals and events industry.

Thank you, Amanda, for your creativity, leadership, and continued dedication to GMFEA. Your passion for our industry continues to help our members and our organization grow.
