🩺 September is National Cholesterol Education Month—a great time to check in on one of the biggest (and most overlooked) risk factors for heart disease.
High cholesterol usually has no symptoms, which is why so many people don’t know they’re at risk until it’s serious.

This month, take a few simple steps to protect your heart:

🩺 Schedule a cholesterol screening.
🥗 Choose more fruits, vegetables, and whole grains.
🏃 Get moving—even a daily walk helps.
🚭 Skip the ci******es.
⚖️ Maintain a healthy weight.
💊 Talk to your doctor about your numbers and next steps.

Small changes today can make a big difference for your heart tomorrow.
Have you had your cholesterol checked this year? Let us know in the comments! ⬇️

“Poor circulation” can refer to slowed or blocked blood flow in your arteries, veins, or both. Some circulation issues are common and easily treated, like varicose veins. Others, like peripheral artery disease (PAD), can be quite serious and require immediate medical attention.

They’re no substitute for an appointment with your provider, but these five actions can help get your blood moving.

Happy National Dog Day! ❤️🐾
Our four-legged best friends do more than make us smile—they may help support a healthier heart, too.
Daily walks, playtime, and companionship can encourage healthy habits that benefit your cardiovascular health. Dogs help us stay active, reduce feelings of loneliness, and may even help lower stress—all important factors for a healthy heart. ❤️
🐶 Did you know?
❤️ A large review of nearly 4 million people found that dog ownership was associated with a 24% lower risk of death from any cause and a 31% lower risk of death from cardiovascular disease. While this doesn’t prove dogs directly improve heart health, researchers believe increased physical activity, companionship, and reduced stress may all play a role.
Today, celebrate your favorite walking buddy by:
🐾 Going for an extra walk
🎾 Playing outside together
💙 Spending quality time with your pup
Every step you take is a step toward better heart health—for both of you.
📸 Share a photo of your dog in the comments! We’d love to meet your heart-healthy sidekick. 🐶❤️

Taking time to slow down isn’t just good for your mind—it can be good for your heart, too. ❤️
Chronic stress can contribute to high blood pressure, increasing your risk of heart disease and stroke. Even setting aside just 10 minutes a day to relax, breathe, and recharge can help reduce stress and support your overall well-being.
Today, give yourself permission to pause:
🌴 Take a walk outside
🧘 Practice deep breathing
📖 Read a book
🎵 Listen to your favorite music
📵 Unplug from your phone for a few minutes
Your heart works hard for you every day. Taking care of your mental well-being is one more way to take care of your heart.
