We’re proud to recognize several members of The Village South team whose dedication to children and families continues to make a difference. πŸ’™

Anthony Stukes, Kendia Aikens, Precious Wilcox, Bianca Harris, Rhesa Tice, and Kellee Butler were recognized for the compassion, advocacy, collaboration, and family-centered care they bring to their work each day.
From ensuring parents have a voice in decisions that affect their families to supporting meaningful connections and helping families navigate some of their most difficult moments, their work reflects the heart of child welfare: seeing families, hearing parents, and continuing to believe in what is possible.

We are grateful for their commitment and for the support of Citrus Family Care Network whose partnership helps make this important work possible.

Please join us in celebrating these outstanding members of our team! πŸ‘

We were proud to join the South Florida recovery community in celebrating the 37th Anniversary of National Recovery Month! πŸ’™

The WestCare Village South team had a wonderful time connecting with individuals, families, providers, and community partners who came together to celebrate recovery, share resources, and honor the many pathways to wellness.

Events like this highlight the importance of community, connection, and ensuring that individuals and families have access to the support they need throughout their recovery journey.

Thank you to the South Florida Wellness Network for bringing our recovery community together and creating space to celebrate the strength and resilience of those in recovery. We are grateful to be part of such a dedicated network of partners working together to Uplift the Human Spirit

This month, the Mobile Response Team attended the 2026 CIT International Conference in Orlando, bringing together more than 1,600 CIT practitioners, coordinators, law enforcement officers, behavioral health professionals, advocates, and community leaders from around the world.

The conference provided an excellent opportunity for the team to network with crisis professionals, including law enforcement and other crisis response teams from across the country, while sharing ideas and best practices for strengthening crisis response systems and partnerships between public safety and behavioral health services.

The team also had the opportunity to present on WestCare The Village South’s unique Miami model, highlighting what sets our approach apart, including the integration of peer support and ambulance services to enhance crisis response and better connect individuals in the community to the care and support they need.

As our Back-to-School Drive continues, we're reminded that small acts of generosity create meaningful change.

Every donation helps provide the supplies students need to participate, learn, and succeed throughout the school year.

Together, we can help more than 1,000 children and youth begin the year with confidence and hope.
